Welcome to Soma Lux Pilates! 

Please read below for studio policies.   We aim to provide a warm, welcoming, and peaceful environment for all our clients who come to focus on mindful movement, body awareness, and healthy habits. To facilitate this, we have policies in place which will ensure that all parties have a positive and smooth experience in the studio. Please reach out with any questions.

Studio Etiquette: To ensure that all parties have a safe, comfortable, and positive experience in the studio, we ask that you abide by these guidelines:

Attire

  • Comfortable workout attire (not too loose) is recommended for your session. 

  • Shoes are not worn while using the Pilates equipment. If you prefer not to go barefoot, you are welcome to wear grip socks. Regular socks are discouraged as they can present a safety hazard when doing certain Pilates exercises. If needed, you are welcome to borrow grip socks from the studio.

Safety & etiquette

  • As a courtesy to others in the studio, please ensure that your phone, watch, and all other electronic devices are turned off or silenced before starting your Pilates session. 

  • Please refrain from applying lotion and oils on your skin before your session, as they can damage the equipment and present a safety hazard during some exercises.

  • Avoid chewing gum or mints during your session as they present a choking risk.

  • If wearing socks, for your safety, please ensure they have grip/traction on the sole.

  • Please avoid wearing strong perfumes or scents, as others in the space may have sensitivities or allergies.

  • We love kids! Unfortunately, we aren’t able to accommodate them at the studio unless they are signed up for a Pilates session with one of our teachers. This is for the safety and comfort of all parties.

Waiting area:

If you arrive to the studio early, please wait in the designated area as other sessions may be taking place. We will let you know when we’re ready for you.

Pilates Scheduling:

Pilates booking, rescheduling, and canceling can be completed online, or via email (hello@somaluxpilates.com).  For all sessions, you’ll automatically receive a 24-hour text & email reminder from the scheduler.

Online scheduler: clients are encouraged to manage their schedule online via our scheduling software. Using the prompts in your confirmation emails, or via our website scheduling page, you can log in to your account, cancel or reschedule sessions, and provide payment information.

**If texting the studio phone, please do so within normal business hours (8am - 5pm Monday-Friday). Outside of those hours, we kindly ask you to email us.

The studio’s scheduling app (Acuity) is available here for Apple and here for Android.


Recurring Sessions:

Clients are able book in to a regular weekly appointment time for private and semi-private sessions. This can be set up with the studio by emailing hello@somaluxpilates.com.

For recurring appointments, we ask that you have a Pilates package on your account. If no package is on file, the default will be a single session charged at the drop-in rate.

If the recurring weekly session is canceled or missed for three consecutive weeks, the appointment time will be released for other clients.

Small Group Classes :

Small group classes are 45 minutes long and capped at 5 students. For your safety and comfort, we require that class participants have prior experience on Pilates equipment before joining a group setting.

For your safety and the flow of class, we ask that all clients arrive on time for group classes to ensure participation in the warm-up. We understand that unexpected things can come up, but if you’re running 10 or more minutes late, we kindly request that you not join class that day.

Currently, the minimum enrollment for a small group session is 2 students. If only one student is enrolled, the session will be cancelled and the student will be given the opportunity to move to a different time, or purchase a private session at a reduced rate.

Pilates Cancellations:

If you need to reschedule or cancel a session, we kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice; the more notice, the better! This allows us to offer that slot to other clients who want to schedule.

*Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment will be charged the full amount or deducted from the applicable package. 

Cancellations can be completed by:

  • logging into your studio account to cancel online (up to 24 hours before your session time)

  • emailing hello@somaluxpilates.com

  • contacting your instructor directly

No-shows: Currently we do not have a penalty fee for no-shows. Please help us maintain this courtesy by providing advance notice when you can't make it to your session.

Pilates Pricing & Payments:

Payments for Pilates sessions can be completed via our website. If you have an account already, please log in before purchasing so that your package is applied to the applicable account.

We require that clients keep a current credit card on file in order to book & hold appointments.
