10 out of 5 stars! Mary and Alexis are absolute experts in their field and it shows in every single session. Beyond their clinical knowledge, their instruction has a way of making you feel better mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. They know just how to push you to show what your body is capable of, and will make sure you have fun doing it (sometimes I think it's also the laughs that make my abs so sore!). The studio itself is awesome— there is a ton of natural light and brand new equipment. I HIGHLY recommend checking out Soma Lux, you will not be disappointed!

I work with both Alexis and Mary and think they are the perfect combination! Their styles are very different but they both customize the workouts for me and are very focused on making sure I am doing the moves correctly. My body has gotten so much stronger as a result! (Yes, I can now do push-ups!). I find these personal sessions to be really important for my progress. The attention to detail, plus targeting the areas I need to work on, make a HUGE difference. Mary and Alexis are always varying the workouts, so I never know what is coming (which is GREAT, because I get bored very easily!). It makes the time go so quickly, and, at the end, my body always feels EXHAUSTED but GREAT. I truly love my pilates sessions with both of them and am grateful that I am able to work with them remotely.

Mary is excellent at what she does. I would argue to say she is one of the best in her industry. Mary customizes her workouts to meet the needs of her clients. In a few short months, I have seen remarkable improvement of my main area of concern - the shrinking of my diastasis (abdominal separation) caused by multiple pregnancies. If you are looking for a Pilates instructor who is experienced and knowledgeable about body structure-function, able to customize exercises for a specific need, passionate about helping clients, encouraging and motivating then look no further. Mary is a phenomenal teacher and person. I started taking one on one lessons with her as prenatal sessions when I was 4 months pregnant. She has helped me understand and listen to my body. I learnt how to perform diaphragmatic breath, how to avoid pelvic tension, how to avoid or minimize diastases, how to perform exercises safely, how to modify them as pregnancy progressed. Towards the end of the pregnancy I felt strong and ready for the labor. I recommend Mary to all my friends and family.

Have done both virtual classes and Zoom Privates with Mary and find her cues easy to understand while the workouts challenging but accessible. She gives great modifications for different levels—great for friends I’ve had join me who are newer, or if I’m just more tired one day. Mary is an incredible pilates instructor! I have not exercised in a while, and decided to jump back in. I was afraid of being so out of shape and not being able to keep up with the classes, but I was wrong. Mary is so encouraging and always gives alternate movements for those needing it, like me.
